A brief update on catering at Helmsley Green Day:
A special vegetarian menu will be available for Helmsley Green Day served at the cafe in the Vinehouse.
An exciting selection of salads reflecting seasonal produce in the garden with a choice of cheese, walled garden vegeburger or spicey chickpea pate …
Cakes, flapjacks, cookies, brownies and gluten free options …
Fairtrade coffee, tea and organic fruit juices …
The salads will be served in a bio-degradable cardboard box and can be taken into the garden for picnics on the lawn …
There will also be cream teas served in and outside the orchid house and beers in the entertainment marquee …

Workshop Times for carrier bag weaving, junk metal, willow weaving and environmental education maximum 15 participants for each workshop … signing up on arrival at the garden is advisable. The sessions are:

There will be no parking facilities at the Helmsley Walled Garden except for disabled people. Space is limited. Drivers will need to be careful since access is via a single track. Parking for disabled users only at the Helmsley Walled Garden will be rigorously enforced. Once again, to emphasise this, there is NO PARKING for able bodied people at Helmsley Walled Garden.
A public ‘Pay & Display’ car park is available in Helmsley, the nearest just some fifty (50) metres away with access via a level gravelled footpath. For those arriving early, there are some free on street parking opportunities around Helmsley.
Free Parking for about eighty (80) cars will be available at Duncombe Park. Travel to the Main gate at Duncombe Park and follow the signs for Green Day Parking.
